In Urban Tech Lab we use different biometric sensors to obtain information about the relationship between people and the space surrounding them. The biometric data is further supplemented by anthropological methods such as field work and interviews.
First and foremost we use mobile eye tracking (eye tracking glasses) to follow what is being watched or seen. We also use devices to measure GSR (Galvanic Skin Response) and HRV (Heart Rate Varability) to get an indication of the level of emotional arousal experienced.
Furthermore we have acquired a VR headset with built-in eye tracking, in order to conduct studies on the relationship between people and the virtual space surrounding them.
